Julie and I took the cuttings we were given from our friends Bill and Candy at our Rose demonstration. This is the Green Rose. With info from Bill and Julie's experience we are rooting 6 cuttings, one we cleaned the stems washed them then put them in rooting agent then put a hole in a potato (uncooked of course) just enough to fit the cutting. They should root right in the potato in about 6 weeks then can be planted potato and all in the ground or a pot. The others we put in a peat pot with a mixture of pumice and sanitary sand, cleaned the cutting then split the stem about 1/4 inch, and put it in rooting agent, then watered. The cuttings will sit outside not in direct sun and will wait 6 weeks to see how they root. We will update our progress as we go.
